Volunteer type position is suitable for:
  • Youth
  • Adult (18 +)
Duties / Roles / Activities: - Provide individual assistance needed to promote each camper to experience success, enjoyment, and maximize inclusion and participation in camp activities
- Help each camper meet their camp goals including: increasing independence, practicing social skills, building peer relationships and increasing self-confidence
- Support and work as part of a staff and volunteer team
- Assist in set up and clean-up of activities
- Adhere to all of camp’s policies and regulations
- Lead fun and interesting programs for children and youth (Optional- bring your creative ideas!)
- Able to work independently and carry out any other responsibilities as designated by the FCF staff
- Helping create a non-judgemental, respectful and safe space for individuals with differences

Skills / Experience: - A high school graduate or equivalent
- Desire and ability to work with children in a variety of outdoors activities
- Prior experience working with children and/or persons with special needs beneficial but not necessary
- Ability to be flexible and to respond and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
- First Aid & CPR certifications considered an asset
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date. FCF will provide applicable instructions and paperwork upon request
