Volunteer type position is suitable for:

Duties / Roles / Activities: The Advisory Committee is guided by Canadian and Ontario law and the policies established by Community Living Dufferin for the protection of rights.
The Advisory Committee is reviewing all rights restrictions currently identified by staff using the guidelines Community Living Dufferin has designed. After a thorough review of the facts of each situation, the committee makes a written recommendation to The Leadership Team of Community Living Dufferin.

The Advisory Committee is looking for members from a variety of occupations, who have an interest in rights issues and the people we support and are willing to make a commitment to our purpose.
The committee may be asked from time to time to review policies and procedures related to rights and to review and analyze the results of the annual Human Rights Survey, to monitor people’s satisfaction with due process within the organization regarding rights.
