Duties / Roles / Activities: |
Key Responsibilities: ? Attend initial interview with child and parent or guardian to assess the emotional needs of the child and to assist with assigning a volunteer. ? Keep written, confidential records of your work. You may be required to provide formal or informal progress reports. You might sometimes be called to give evidence in court cases involving their clients. ? Ensure that you receive regular clinical supervision from a more experienced therapist. The purpose of clinical supervision is to monitor, support and increase your awareness of the play therapy process. ? To immediately report any suspicion of abuse to supervisor and follow proper procedures regarding same. ? To supervise all activities in the Lego Room and ensure that volunteers are following all required policies and procedures. ? Assist with interviewing and assessing volunteers for the Lego Room. ? Provide training to all volunteers in the Lego Room on a continual basis. ? Report to the Board of Directors and/or Executive Director with any concerns or suggestions for improvement. ? Assist the Board of Directors and/or Executive Director with the development and implementation of any policies and procedures with respect to the Lego Room |
Sample Tasks: |
Supervise in the Lego Room for approximately 2 hours, two nights a week. Train new volunteers in the Lego Room. You will also be attending fundraising events and meeting families children could use our services. |
