Volunteer type position is suitable for:
  • Adult (18 +)
Duties / Roles / Activities: (Up to 10 positions available)

Events take place in multiple locations within the Credit River Watershed (Orangeville, Halton Hills, Erin, Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga)

Program Commitment: This is a year-long program; however the majority of the events fall between April – June. Expected commitment is a minimum of four events. Shifts will generally be 3-5 hours long.

Event Ambassadors assist CVC with outreach to watershed residents at local community events. Event Ambassadors will attend various events on behalf of CVC and/or alongside CVC staff in order to grow the community’s awareness of our organization and programs.
Sample Tasks: This position will involve:
Learning about CVC and sharing it with the public;
Promoting CVC events and volunteer opportunities;
Endorsing CVC’s goals and our programs;
Engaging the public through interactive and educational activities;
Setting-up and dismantling displays with promotional materials;
Collecting contact information for follow-up purposes;
Encouraging people to sign-up for CVC’s newsletters and event notifications.

Vulnerable sector screening required.
