Duties / Roles / Activities: Homework and Activity Angels provide virtual childcare support for mothers who have been diagnosed with cancer, for those requiring palliative care and for families requiring additional relief during the bereavement period.

By meeting weekly, building trust, and having fun, our Angels help mothers gain the confidence and peace of mind to rest or attend appointments, knowing their children are cared for and supported by knowledgeable and compassionate volunteers.

Our Angels receive specialized training and the support of NAN’s Child Life Specialist throughout their volunteering time.
Sample Tasks: Assisting a child under the age of 16 with homework over video chat; creating arts and crafts with a child over video chat (supplies will be provided)
