Since 1954, Community Living Dufferin has provided support to over 150 adults and children living in Dufferin County through residential, employment, leisure and pre-school resources programming services

We are proud of how far we have come, and yet aware of how much work is still to be done to ensure that people with disabilities are seen as equals and are welcomed into their community to live inclusively with respect and dignity

CLD 's mission is to promote equal opportunity and respect for people by listening to them and supporting their choices to achieve the lives they want. We enable them to do so by assisting them to secure community employment through training, working with local businesses to ensure the successful employment of individuals who wish to work

We collaborate with local nonprofit agencies and businesses to provide volunteer placements for people we support who wish to offer their time to others

Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers all have one goal in mind, that is to envision a community that creates opportunities to connect all people to a place where: following dreams is encouraged, people live with respect and dignity, and enabling them to participate and contribute their gifts and talents.

Where others may see the disability and let it potentially cloud their judgment, CLD looks beyond and sees everyone's ability to contribute what they have to offer; this is what makes a community successful and no one should be excluded from offering what they have to share
