Our mission is to build meaningful connections and to provide emotional support by listening to the needs of each individual. Since 2004, TeleCheck, a telephone reassurance program was launched to support older adults in Dufferin County. TeleCheck telephone reassurance supports older adults (55+, Seniors & Caregivers) in living independently in their own homes with support and connection to their community. Funded by the Ministry of Health. Our Vision: A diverse and empowering community that with dignity and empathy provides all people opportunity and support in order to enhance their life's journey TeleCheck calls help Seniors and Caregivers stay connected through this friendly daily telephone call. For some, it's just a chance to talk and be assured someone knows they are there and safe. For others, concerns are supported quickly through gentle problem solving, quick alerts to family, or emergency response. TeleCheck calls save lives and give peace of mind. TeleCheck made over 70,000 calls  in 2020 by trained community volunteers! Our training prepares volunteers to listen and support members in an non-intrusive manner.
