The Dufferin County Museum & Archives (DCMA) is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Airport Road and Highway 89, between Shelburne and Alliston.
Everyone is welcome. Hospitality rules. One of the best things about the DCMA is that there is something here for everyone. Other great reasons to come to the DCMA include great hospitality from friendly staff and volunteers, a huge collection of local artifacts, amazing views over the hills of Mulmur, and a unique architectural space.
Here at the DCMA, we take great care to offer our visitors an unexpected and exceptional experience. We challenge preconceived notions of what one will discover at a museum and reflect this in everything we do: In our ambitious and eclectic mix of exhibits and special events. In the programs and services we provide. In the brand of hospitality we dispense. Why? We understand that providing a full and unique experience while appealing to a range of interests is vital to your decision to visit us.
And becoming a DCMA volunteer is what we like to call a "win win" situation – you assist the DCMA with valued tasks and important projects, and we in turn provide a fun and enriching experience in a unique and stimulating environment. We're always on the lookout for enthusiastic and interested persons to join our team of volunteers, and we offer training and a variety of opportunities. Whether you have one day a week or one a month, or want to work here in the museum environment or at home, we can usually find an opportunity that is fun and meaningful, and that works for you and your schedule.
