Join our team as a Copywriter and help author and share ASO’s story of awareness, acceptance, inclusivity, empowerment and support for people with Autism/Asperger’s (ASD-Level1) and their families! What skills and experience you can gain from this role: -Create clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. social media, blog posts, newsletters) for the purposes of boosting online engagement, increasing online subscribers, and recruiting new donors/sponsors. -Perform editorial work to keep ASO’s website, marketing materials, fundraising / outreach materials, and social content current, relevant, and engaging. -Interview industry professionals, ASO staff, volunteers and community members and incorporate their views in blog posts and articles. -Provide support to ASO staff in preparing talking points, key messages, and editorial pieces or presentations for external events and conferences. -Conduct research to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about ASD-related subject matter, and then contextualize and share your findings. |

What we are looking for from you: -An agile writer who can create both long- and short-form pieces for target audiences, with careful attention to detail, creativity, and unique writing voice. -Education in Journalism, Marketing, or a similar field. -Demonstrated track record of writing strong, engaging content and producing digital and print content for a range of target audiences. -An ability to fact-check (particularly long-form content pieces). -Ability to utilize strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines. -Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing. -Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. -Journalism/editorial experience (asset). |
