Blanketeers are the backbone of the organization and find it very rewarding to share their talents of sewing, knitting, or crochet by creating a handmade blanket to comfort a child in a time of crisis, hardship, or otherwise in need of a "hug".

Duties / Roles / Activities: Project Linus collects handmade blankets, quilts, and afghans in sizes appropriate for babies, toddlers, children, and teens.

Project Linus Canada welcomes many different types and styles of handmade blanket donations. Here are a few tips for creating the best blanket possible for gifting through Project Linus.
*Use new, washable, soft materials/fabrics.
*Use child friendly colors or fabric prints.
*Blankets must be free of buttons, strings, pins, or loose parts.
*Blankets must be free of scents (smoke, fragrance, moth balls, etc.)


Let your creativity run wild with these blankets, scrappy and colorful blankets make the most unique gifts.

Blankets can be made on your own time at your own pace, at the present time we do not meet to create blankets. When you have a blanket(s) ready to donate please contact the Chapter Coordinator to coordinate drop off of your donation in Grand Valley.

Sample Tasks: Knit, Sew, Quilt, or Crochet a handmade blanket using soft, bright, fun fabrics or materials suitable for a child.
Donate blanket to Chapter Coordinator when complete and ready to be gifted to a child in the community.
