Duties / Roles / Activities: |
- Provide fun, safe and healthy experiences for children in the program - Exhibit positive and professional behaviour with all participants, parents and co-workers - Provide daily support to Camp Coordinator, Assistant Coordinators of Summer Camps and Counsellors - Acknowledge role as a leader within the day camp program by modeling appropriate behaviour, acting as a good role model and maintaining a positive attitude - Participate fully and assist staff in the implementation of camp activities - Assist with monitoring child interaction and provide guidance to ensure the well-being of campers in consultation with the Camp Counsellors - Assist camp staff in the implementation of camp activities and clean-up - Assist in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the camp environments - Comply with all expectations outlined in training, including all associated training documents - Summer camp settings may include various conditions: outdoor environments, indoor spaces, lakes, swimming pools, skating rinks, field trips, and park settings ** MUST be able to attend mandatory training on June 15th 2024, 9:00am - 2:00pm ** |

Volunteers are more than welcome to volunteer for as many weeks as they like based on individual goals! We do our best to match your interests to your preferred, depending on program needs and when camps are offered based on volunteer availability. Camp is run at Alder, Tony Rose, and Island Lake Hours for volunteers will be Monday-Friday 9:00-4:00pm with a daily lunch break |
