This is an extremely rewarding experience that helps persons living with dementia and their caregivers by providing support, social engagement and relief. You will learn about Alzheimer's Disease and other dementia's and become familiar with resources in the community.

Volunteer type position is suitable for:
  • Adult (18 +)
Duties / Roles / Activities: Duties involve visiting persons with dementia in their home, engaging in a meaningful activity which can be something as simple as a conversation about the past, playing board games or cards. This volunteer opportunity also provides relief to caregivers.
Sample Tasks: Our team of specially trained volunteers will visit persons living with dementia in their home, in order to provide companionship, socialization, and meaningful activation to the client in an appropriate, safe environment.
