Why you might want to consider taking this opportunity: FWD is a community-based, non-profit charitable organization incorporated in 2014, and is run by an all-volunteer board of directors. We strive for a board that includes people with disabilities or members of their families, to make sure that the services we offer line up with what people really need. FWD is currently funded by the Ontario Government to provide independent facilitation support to over 90 individuals and families in our regions, and serves several others on a cost recover basis. We are currently seeking people who share our vision and values to contribute to FWD during this exiting time of development and action.

There are usually also a couple of e-mail consultations among board members each month.

Some recent examples: reading job applications and helping choose a short list; interviewing job candidates; or serving on one of the Board’s standing committees: Public Outreach, Grant Applications, Fundraising, or Management Oversight.
