The Canadian Red Cross is introducing Health TAPESTRY, an exciting new program in the Dufferin region, implemented by McMaster University’s Department of Family Medicine, partnering with the Dufferin Family Health Team. Health TAPESTRY is a community based program that is led by primary care teams, that creates connections between trained volunteers, interprofessional health care teams, novel technology and community engagement. This program aims to help people stay healthier for longer in the places where they live, and shifts the focus of care to prevention, as program participants have fewer hospitalizations and see their primary care team more. The Canadian Red Cross is looking for volunteers to join this team in Dufferin region and surrounding areas.
