Since 1999, Dufferin Parent Support Network (DPSN) has been encouraging, educating and supporting families by providing opportunities to build positive parenting skills and healthy community connections. We believe that by supporting parents, children and their families will be all that they can be. Children and youth will develop emotional and physical well-being. They will be nurtured to believe in themselves, will be better able to handle life's challenges, and will make healthy choices. Every spring and fall, DPSN provides a wide range of free workshops for anyone in a parenting or mentoring role, which includes caregivers, grandparents, teachers and coaches. We promote parenting skills that are based on understanding and working with children's behaviour. Topics include communication, positive discipline, healthy relationships, anger management, single parenting, and spirited children.
