About Us

Volunteer Dufferin is the "go to" place for volunteerism in Dufferin County, Ontario, Canada.

Our goal is to facilitate connections between people who want to find ways to get connected and help out their community, and organizations who are looking for help of any kind.

Our flagship tool is our web-based platform that matches volunteers with a broad range of opportunities, all serving Dufferin County and its eight municipalities.

Beyond the matching portal, our team members (yes, we have humans too!) are also very involved in the community, partnering with local groups and participating in many community events that promote volunteerism. You'll find us at job fairs, high schools, appreciation events and activities put on by our member organizations.  

Volunteer Dufferin is a project of Headwaters Communities in Action (HCIA), a registered charity and community organization with a vision of "people coming together to shape a thriving community".  Engaged citizens are a cornerstone of a thriving community, so the mission of Volunteer Dufferin is to strengthen our local volunteer base and increase community engagement in Dufferin. We know this will contribute to making new connections, building relationships and trust, increasing a sense of belonging, resilience and overall community well-being.
